This vintage book is one of the classics of the 20th century. The oral tradition and inherent sound lessons of nursery rhymes are being lost in this contemporary, over-connected society, and this volume reminds us all of what we are in the process of losing forever.
I bought this book because I was curious to see where all those nursery rhymes came from. Great encyclopedia of rhymes and all their variations!
This was bought as a gift for a friend. The history of "nursery rhymes" is a very long one and very interesting. The book is used but arrived in excellent condition and I would buy from this supplier again.
